Young Republicans Straw Poll
The Nassau County Young Republicans will be holding a presidential straw poll on Wednesday, January 9th, following the installation ceremony for the 2008 elected officers. The ceremony will begin at 8PM at the Mineola Knights of Columbus Hall located at 185 Jericho Turnpike.
"This ought to be an exciting evening," said Andrew Stream, president of the YRs. "This is a great opportunity for fellow Republicans to meet and greet while showing their support in the 2008 presidential race. I encourage everyone interested to attend."
The ballot will consist of all nine Republican candidates that qualified for the presidential primary to be held in New York on February 5.
The Nassau County Young Republicans is a social organization open to all Republicans ages 14 to 40. If you are over the age of 18, you must be en-rolled as a Republican in order to join. Meetings are generally held on the fourth Thursday of each month. Membership dues are $5 a year for high school students and $10 for all others.
"As the race for the 2008 Republican nomination continues, I encourage everyone to become more active in the political process," concluded Stream
