Garden City Retired Men's Club Events Calendar

The Garden City Retired Men's Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political.

All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City in the State of New York are eligible for membership upon paying a $5 initiation fee. Every Monday is Open House, or call Joe Leto at 248-9022.

The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers two regulation size pool tables, television, card tables, board games, outdoor Bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. The Programs Committee is planning a very active speaker program. Come join us!

speaker program is warming

While we were resting and enjoying the holidays, George Salem has been very busy putting his speaker program together. He has booked Det. Richard Pedone of the GC Police Department for Monday, January 28th. Detective Pedone is the spokesperson for the GC Police Department and as our 'safety advisor' will cover police safety, particularly senior issues. Class starts at 1 p.m. Non-member, senior male Garden City residents are invited to attend.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON BOWLING

Friday afternoon bowling is rolling along. This is a fun setup. Teams are formed each bowling day, a different team each week. It's complicated, but Ron Zwicke keeps it fun.
