Community Club Brightens Village

The Garden Department of the Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead held their annual Greens Day on Wednesday, Dec. 5th at the Garden City Senior Center where they made five sprays for the veteran's memorials, one each for the 9/11 and volunteer firemans memorials and centerpieces (13 in all) for both the Garden City and Hempstead libraries, Village Hall, the fire and police departments and the recreaction department. Muriel Urban, Garden Dept. Chairwoman and Greens Day organizer, worked with a great crew of helpers.
