GC Renegades Beat Manhasset

Jack Concannon breaks up field with the ball
It's never too early to work on getting better at a game you love. The Renegades are participating in a winter league that is giving them an opportunity to brush the dust off their la-crosse equipment and work on improving before the real season starts. This past week the Renegades defeated Manhasset, a new comer to the Oyster Bay League. The Renegades controlled the game from start to finish. They moved the ball up and down the field and played great defense. Playing in this league gives the Renegades a chance to work on a new offense and a couple of new plays put in by 1st year coach Ryan Radonis. Coach Radonis told the kids this is the time to work on the weak hand, new plays, defensive footwork, catching and throwing passes on the run. All of these things will help them succeed this upcoming season. The team from Manhasset was no match for the Renegades but said they enjoyed the competition. They were especially impressed with the way the kids set up and ran the offense. Not to mention what good sports they were. Like we said in the beginning "It's never too early to work on getting better".
