Garden City Library News
New Computer Center Planned

Joseph Agolia, computer systems librarian, inspected the new furnishings that arrived for the Garden City Library's new Computer Center. The Library's computer lab will be housed on the lower level and will include more than 20 Internet workstations. In addition, the library plans to offer more computer classes in this larger facility. The renovation project at the Garden City Public Library calls for the conversion of a storage area on the lower level of the library into an audio-visual room and the new Computer Center. In addition, the project includes renovating the lobby, enlarging the young adult department, refurbishing the adult lounge into a periodical/reading room, and creating a larger quiet study area. Construction has begun on the final phase of the work.
