Members of the work crew gather to admire their handiwork at the end of the morning.
Members of the Cathedral of the Incarnation gathered together on the blustery cold morning of Saturday, December 15 to prepare the church for Christmas. All age groups were represented in the volunteer decorators. There was a lot of work to be done but everyone agreed it was very satisfying to see the church in her Christmas finery when the morning was over. Evergreen trees were brought in and set into stands. The beautiful Christmas créche was erected and awaits the Christ Child on Christmas Eve. Now just the finishing touches will be added after the Sunday Masses on December 23. The Cathedral will be open for anyone who wishes to come in and enjoy her majestic beauty at Christmastide.
The men and boys begin the assembly of the Christmas creche.
The women and girls get the tree stands ready.
The advent wreath needed some sprucing up as well.
Andrew Scott and his helper haul an evergreen into the church.
