Giving Thanks At Stratford Avenue School

Second-graders performing Thanksgiving hits.
Second-graders performed for their classmates last month, singing Blessings On This Day, Turkey Woogie, and Share the Good Gifts, at the annual Stratford Avenue School Thanksgiving Assembly.

The orchestra opened and closed the program with Pachelbel's Cannon in D. Readings included Holiday Letters by second-graders Kate Sweeney and Grace LaRiviere, The First Thanksgiving by fourth-graders Emma La Riviere and Bridget Strysko, and Giving Thanks by fifth-graders Claudia Caracciolo and Nicolette Giammona.

Caroline Bianchi, James Searson, Spencer Cox, and Andrew Mohacsi presented the Colors. Finally, Salvation Army Major Steve Ditmer accepted a donation of canned goods raised in the annual Stratford Avenue School Thanksgiving Food Drive.
