Nasser Samman
The Garden City Hotel announces that Nasser Samman, General Manager, has joined the advisory board of Seven Stars and Stripes.

Seven Stars and Stripes (www.sevenstarsandstripes.com) recognizes global luxury standards in the travel and leisure industry through an ongoing program of reviews and awards. Among those honored internationally are exclusive hotels, resorts and spas, cuisine and luxury lifestyle products for their visible commitment to excellence, willingness to be recognized for innovations, devotion to staff and decision to raise the bar of their establishment.

Samman is one of nearly twenty industry experts - including leading chefs, restaurateurs, journalists and communications advisors - who are selected to sit on the advisory board because of their high integrity, strong values and good taste. He will be a valuable voice for the Seven Stars and Stripes board. His knowledge and experience of bringing hotels to the highest level of excellence will be a useful tool in helping to determine which properties belong under the banner. Samman will also consult various international hotels on ways to achieve the standards needed to meet the criteria of the organization's prestigious board.

As general manager of The Garden City Hotel, Samman oversees the daily operations of guest services, human resources, housekeeping, property maintenance, accounting, and food and beverage. He has contributed to the hotel's reputation for elegance and unparalleled service making it the leading choice on Long Island for meetings, banquets and world-class hospitality. In 2004, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International Big Apple Chapter selected Samman as their General Manager of the Year. In 2002, Samman received the New York State Senate Liberty Award for exceptional achievement for his work with a local relief fund to support 9/11 families. He has also served as a board director for the Long Island Hotel & Lodging Association.
