She was taken to Winthrop Hospital and an investigation continues... Someone threw a turkey through the window of a St. Paul's Place residence between November 21 and 22. Damage was $400...GC Police assisted the Glen Cove Police Department after it was reported that a 22-yesr-old Yonkers male had entered a Glen Cove residence without authority on November 19. The man took a car and fled, eventually allegedly assaulting a police officer and damaging a police car at Rockaway Avenue. He was charged with assault on a police officer, criminal mischief to a police car, and attempted stolen vehicle, as well as numerous other traffic violations...Between November 23 and 24, someone stole a $500 Nutcracker ornament at the Gazebo and damaged other ornaments as well at $200 in damage. On November 24 a 25-year-old Hollis woman allegedly took a $350 Diesel coat at Lord and Taylor... Detective Madden arrested an 18-year-old Floral Park female and a 17-year-old Bayside male after an investigation stemming from an incident where a credit card had been stolen from an unattended bag at Adel-phi University on November 19. It seems the two had used the card for the purchase of sweatshirts, and they were charged with forgery, grand larceny, and petit larceny... On November 22, 2:10 AM, PO Hickey arrested a 19-year-old Mineola male for alleged speeding (50 in 30 mph zone), alleged DWI (refusal), and the possession of 17 small bags of marijuana, at Franklin Avenue/Eleventh Street... On November 24, 4:25 AM, a 28-year-old Roosevelt woman was allegedly DWI (.15%) at Franklin Avenue. PO Oswald arrested the motorist on the charges of DWI, unsafe lane change, and no insurance... PO Hickey also arrested a motorist on November 25, 4:33 AM, for alleged speeding at 46 in a 30 mph zone, no registration, no inspection, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree. It seems the motorist had pulled into a John Street driveway at one point with lights out, in order to avoid police...On November 25, 4 AM, PO Oswald arrested a 26-year-old Lynbrook woman for alleged DWI (.20%), the failure to signal a turn, and for no insurance at Clinton Road. She had been driving with a garbage can under the car...Police arrested a 26-year-old Charlotte, North Carolina man for al-leged DWI (.19%), and unlicensed operation, at Old Country Rd., on November 22, 4:12 AM, after the motorist was involved in an accident where he allegedly struck a car being driven by an Elmont man... Fire REsponses: A Verizon technician evidently pierced a heating pipe while drilling at a Vassar Street residence on November 21. FD contacted plumber to help the resident...Firemen shut off the power to an oven at an Eton Rd. house on November 22, after a small fire occurred while the oven was in self-clean mode...FD found a faulty top of a burner arcing at a Tanners Pond Rd. residence on November 22... A booster was used to extinguish a fire on a tree at a Brook Street house on November 23. Witnesses say juveniles had been using fireworks there...Embers from a fireplace caused alarm at a Wyatt Rd. house on November 24. Mechanical ventilation was used to clear carbon dioxide...A booster was used to extinguish a fire caused by leaves burning at Pine Street/Boylston Street, on November 25...FD advised a woman to change the battery of a garage door opener that was not working properly at a Cedar Place house on November 27...
