Garden City Basketball - More Clinics

Friday Night Lights will have its second session on Friday November 16th 7:30pm - 9:30pm at Stewart School. "Friday Night Lights - Streetball" is our Boys 7th thru 10th Grade program. You must be registered and may do so at the door upon arrival.

On Tuesday November 20th, we will have a K-1-2nd grade special event/Clinic from 6:00pm-7:30pm at St Paul's. You must be registered with our program to attend our clinics.

On Thursday November 29th, we will have a Boy's 3rd thru 6th grade Clinic from 6:00pm-7:30pm at St Paul's.

On Thursday December 6th, we will have a Girl's 3rd thru 7th grade Clinic from 6:00pm-7:30pm at St Paul's.

The intramural season at St Paul's fieldhouse will start Saturday, December 1st. This year the Garden City Basketball program will operate in the afternoon. We will return to the morning next year. Our schedule is:

* 1:30pm - 3:00pm Boys and Girls K-1st-2nd Clinic

* 3:00pm - 4:30pm Girls 3rd thru 7th grade

* 4:30pm - 5:30pm Boys 3rd/4th grade

* 5:30pm - 6:30pm Boys 5th/6th grade

We have a number of activities at the Professional Athletic Performance Center (located at 645 Stewart Ave behind the McDonalds). Please call Mike at 794-FAST to reserve a spot at any event:

* Saturday November 17th - "Speed, Agility, and Quickness" specifically tailored for the Garden City Basketball program. Only participants in our program may attend this special event. Our anticipated times for boys and girls are: 8:00am - 9:00am 7-10 year olds, 9:15am - 10:15am 11-13 year olds, 10:30am - 11:30am 7-10 year olds, and 11:45am - 12:45pm 11-13 year olds.

* Tuesday November 13th there was a "Building Better Athletes". This was for parents and players. This hands-on clinic included strength training program design and why active & passive stretching is important.

* Wednesday November 14th there was a "Coaches Strength Clinic". This hands-on workshop discussed the theory and practice of productive strength training as well as how it applies to improving athletic performance.

Visit www.gardencitybasketball.org to sign-up online for the 2007-2008 season. Our registration fee is $50. There is NO LATE fee. Garden City Basketball will continue to accept late registrations and we will accommodate these participants.

The focus of Garden City Basketball is our intramural program. Our greater mission is to provide a wonderful experience for all of our participants so that a love of the life long game of basketball will be nurtured and grow.
