Kevin B. Robinson
Kevin B. Robinson

Kevin B. Robinson, 47, succumbed to injuries received in an automobile accident on Sunday, November 4, 2007. A resident of Monroe, Connecticut, Kevin was born and raised in Garden City. He was a graduate of both the Garden City High School and Adelphi University.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife Cathy; his loving children, Kevin and Brittany; his parents, Jack and Althea Robinson of Garden City and Peconic, New York; his sister Nancy Robinson-Long of New Hope, Pennsylvania and brother Jim

(Annie) of Duxbury, Massachusetts; his uncles, Donald Robinson (Diane) of Longmont Colorado, Eben Franz (Dorothy) and Langdon Franz (Loretta) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; nieces Kerry Anne, Caroline and Allison; nephews Ryan, Connor and Patrick; and cousins Dorothy, Lori, Lisa, Beth, Pamela, Patricia, Christine, Stephen and Dennis.

Kevin was a sales executive with the firm of DSA Encore, Brookfield, Connecticut where he worked with his college friends, Stephen Friedman, owner of the company, and Edward Lucano. Both Steve and Ed had been his college roommates at Jacksonville University, Florida. Ed Lucano, of Trumbull, Connecticut, formerly of Garden City, had been Kevin's life-long best friend.

Kevin's true "home" was in Peconic, New York where he spent his childhood summers and was ultimately laid to rest. A gifted guitarist and musician, Kevin and his brother Jim had played in numerous bands together throughout his life. In addition to Kevin's musical gifts, he will be best remembered for his kind heart and "off-the-wall" humor that brought joy and laughter to his loving family and everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.

A legion of relatives, friends and associates visited at the Coster Funeral Home, Cutchogue, New York on Thursday, November 8. A funeral mass was offered for the repose of Kevin's soul on Friday, November 9 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Southold, New York. The heartfelt and reflective eulogy delivered by his beloved brother Jim drew a standing ovation.

A foundation has been established to assist with the college educations of Kevin's children. Donations to the Kevin Robinson Memorial College Fund will be gratefully accepted and may be forwarded to the Hudson Savings Bank, P.O. Box 635, Southold, New York 11971.
