The Garden City Library will host the program 10 Deadly Teen Driving Mistakes on Saturday December 8th at 3 PM . This program will be presented by AAA New York. It is open to students and their parents. With all the tragic accidents which have been occurring on Long Island involving teen drivers, this program is a must for all new and soon to be drivers. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period and the program is expected to conclude at 4 PM. One hour out of your Saturday may change your life!

Yak & Snack Book and Film

Then while feasting on holiday treats, there will be a discussion of the book, the film, their similarities and differences. Please pick up a copy of the book from the YA Librarian and register for this event.

College Finances

On Monday, December 17th at 7:30 PM Barry Fox and the program Beat The High Cost of College will be held. This is the rescheduled date from October when there had to be a cancellation due to the work being done on the lobby and the lower level of the library. Mr. Fox will share with all his expertise on maximizing the amount of financial aid one can get. He will lead participants in the step-by-step filing of the necessary forms. Forms will be provided. The program will conclude by 9 PM.
