St. Joseph's Sponsor A Family Christmas 2007

Believe it or not, Christmas is right around the corner and the St. Joseph's Sponsor a Family Committee is busy preparing to help over 250 families from neighboring parishes. One parish in particular is Queen of The Most Holy Rosary in Roosevelt where our own beloved Father Gabriel now serves. The Christmas Program involves providing a complete holiday dinner with all the trimmings and gifts for families with children. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your blessings with those in need. It is also a nice way for friends, neighbors and community groups to participate in a special charitable event.

We hope you'll join us in our mission to help others this Christmas! Information and sign up forms will be available in the St. Joseph's bulletin for the next few weeks or you may call Lita Reilly at 248-5880 or Pat DiMattia at 294-9316. We encourage all Garden City residents to participate in this wonderful program.

If you are able to drive a carload of groceries and gifts, please call Evelyn Fasano at 747-3235. The collection of Christmas dinner groceries and gifts will be on Saturday morning. December 15, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph's parking lot.

Our 2007 "Thanksgiving Sponsor a Family" was a tremendous success!! We thank everyone who participated in this program in which we sponsored almost 300 families. As you celebrate this Thursday with family and friends, remember those in need and be assured that the families we sponsored are thankful to all of you for your generosity.
