Resurrection To Host Seminar With Author

Dr. Paul Maier

Dr. Paul Maier, noted author, speaker, and one of our country's leading authorities on the biblical world, will present a seminar at Resurrection Lu-theran Church, on Saturday, Dec. 1. The half-day seminar begins with a breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by Dr. Maier's presentation, entitled, "New Light on the Nativity."

Dr. Maier is professor of an-cient history at Western Michigan University, the second vice-president of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and a much-published author of both scholarly and popular works. His novels include two historical documentaries: Pontius Pilate and The Flames of Rome, as well as a theological thriller that became #1 national bestseller in religious fiction: A Skeleton in God's Closet. More than five million Maier books are now in print in fifteen languages, as well as over 250 scholarly articles and reviews in professional journals.

Dr. Maier lectures widely, appears frequently in national radio, television, and newspaper interviews, and has received numerous awards. His seminars add a fresh dimension to the Scriptures, illuminating them with important evidence from archaeology and secular history.
