In a Nassau County Class A girls soccer semifinal game, No.3 Garden City took on Island Trees on Saturday eve-ning November 3rd at Michael Tully Park on Denton Avenue. It took 60 minutes for someone to score, and that someone was GC's Allie Muhlstock who put the ball in the net on a pass from Katie Daly. Island Trees almost tied the game but Becky Lynch was able to head out a corner kick with 10 seconds left in the game to preserve the win for Garden City.
The Trojans knew that their next opponent, No.1 South Side, would give them a run for the money. South Side was the defending county champ and undefeated this season. Although Garden City played hard and fought the tough battle, South Side won the game by a score of 4-0.
