In Memoriam Elizabeth Benham

Garden City and Lake George, New York - Elizabeth C. Benham (DiTommaso), Age 87, died on Thursday, November 1, 2007, unexpectedly. Mrs. Benham was the beloved wife of the late Victor B. Benham, Jr. who died July, 2007.

Mrs. Benham was the loving mother of Elizabeth B. Antonelli and David B. Benham; grandmother of Rebecca E. Duff, Stephen B. McFarlane, Victoria B. McFarlane, Tyler M. Benham and Clifton E. Benham; great grandmother of James L. Duff III, Matthew B. Duff and Mabon C. Benham.

Mrs. Benham was the daughter of the late Reverend and Mrs. Francis DiTommaso. Her parents brought her to Lake George the summer of 1920 where she remained a resident until her death. Mrs. Benham's father was instrumental in the commercial development of the main center of Canada Street in Lake George. She and her family were devoted to the tasteful development of the Village and they had a passion for the history and natural beauty of the Adirondacks. Mrs. Benham was a longtime member of the Garden City Community Club and volunteer of Winthrop University Hospital for many years.

Burial will be private.
