Chamber's Fall Festival Street Fair A Success

Maryanne Bee and Mayor Peter Bee
The Garden City Chamber of Commerce's 28 th annual Fall Festival Street Fair shone in all the glory of spring-like weather on Saturday, September 29, the earliest ever for this all-community event. Hundreds of residents, Village visitors and hordes of kids turned out to enjoy the good fun, good food, and the first-ever "Garden City Idol" singing competition along with Garden City High School's Homecoming Day Parade. The good spirits of merchants, member businesses and exhibiting Village organizations created a warm and friendly community feeling throughout the business district. The Chamber is grateful to the many volunteers and Village forces who contributed to the day's success.
