GCAA Basketball Announces Expected Times

GCAA Basketball is off to a strong start with 15 travel teams now practicing in preparation for the Island Garden travel season. Our intramural program is still accepting applications and those applications can be downloaded from the website gc-aa.com. Please get your applications in now so you can be included in the intramural draft scheduled to be held the week of Nov 12th. Space is limited so sign up quickly. The season starts on Sat Dec 1st and we expect all players to be notified of their team no later than Monday Nov 26th. There is no notification for K-1 as players should show up at St. Paul's at the times designated below.

Saturday Expected Intramural Times (Dec 1st thru March 15th)

K-1 8:00-9:00 AM at St. Paul's

2nd Grade Girls 8:00-9:00 AM at St. Paul's

2nd Grade Boys 9:00-10:00AM at St. Paul's

3rd Grade Boys 9:00AM, 10:00, 11:00 or 12:00 at Garden City Middle School

3rd/4th Girls 9:00-10:00AM or 10:00-11:00AM at St. Paul's

5-8th Girls 10:00-11:00AM at St. Paul's

4th Grade Boys 11:00-12:00PM at St. Paul's

5th/6th Grade Boys 11:00-12:00 or 12:00-1:30PM at St. Paul's

The K-1 age group is run as a clinic on 8 foot baskets. They are fun and instructive.

The 2nd grade age group is a 30 minute clinic and then a 30 minute game. Any 2nd grader not wanting to participate in a game can attend the K-1 Clinic.

For age groups with multiple times listed, games can start at any of the times referenced. Games for 3rd grade-8th grade will start promptly at the designated time. In addition to the Saturday intramural program, GCAA will also host grade based clinics on Monday nights at St. Paul's 6:00-7:30. More details on this to follow.
