Panthers Travel Baseball Team Completes Fall Season

The GCAA U9 Panthers travel baseball team completed their fall season on Sunday, October 28th. The Panthers finished the fall with a 7 and 1 record. The boys really came together as a team and showed their love of baseball, playing hard each week while flashing great defense and quality pitching. The trio of John Mackey, Joey Pizzingrillo and Michael Franco combined for solid pitching. Their catchers, Nicholas Lavinio, Mark Luglio and Michael DeSimone were strong behind the plate, throwing out numerous base stealers. Marc Prevete and T.J. Michielini anchored first base, while Kyle Quinn robbed many batters of possible hits at second base. Joe Philippas and Finn Gibbons guarded the hot corner at third base, while Anthony Loiodici made some exciting plays with his glove and arm in the outfield. Each game a different player contributed with either a timely defensive play, a clutch hit or a big pitch. The coaching staff had a great time teaching and guiding the boys. The entire team looks forward to the off season workouts and returning in the spring.
