The Thunder 8 year old's game coaches Comiskey, Kufs, Cortese, and Mascola an early Halloween treat with a hard fought, come from behind victory over a very tough Elmont team 13-6.
After allowing a touchdown on the first play of the game, the 'Iron men' defense led by linebackers Colin Paskewitz and Shayne Gallagher held the high powered Elmont offense to zero points the rest of the way.
Strong two way line of play of Kyle Cortese, Cole Sonner, Brendan Coors, Matt Mascola, Thomas Riggers, Billy Illardi, Patrick Murtagh, and Quinn Walsh, opened holes on offense and closed them on defense.
The game would not have been won without the excellent containment play of the defensive ends, corner backs, and safety's. Bookends James Walczyck, Brendan Colamussi, Charlie Comiskey, Mason Kufs, Patrick Murtagh, and Joe McDonagh played the finest game of the year. Last, but not least, the defense put up a goal line stand late in the game to secure the victory.
