In Memoriam
Mary Charrot Mansfield of Stuart, Florida, and Westbury, NY, formerly of Garden City, died on October 10 at Winthrop Hospital following a brief illness. Mary, who was 85, lived on Fairmount Boulevard in Garden City for 55 years until moving to Westbury six months ago. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Mansfield Sr. and the cherished mother of Charles F. Mansfield Jr. (Mary Ann) of Westhampton Beach; Michael Mansfield (Maggie) of Blooming Grove, NY; Patricia Phelan (Thomas) of Freeport, NY; Peggy Mansfield of Ventura, CA;, Elisabeth Mansfield of Goshen, NY; and Kate Mansfield of New Haven, VT. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Charles Mansfield III (Dawn) of Charlotte, NC; John Mansfield (Elizabeth) of Granville, VT; Kathryn Mansfield, South Bend, Indiana; and Emily Barnett of Ventura, CA; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on October 13 at St. Anne's Church in Garden City, where Mary had been a longtime parishioner. Burial was in Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury. Donations in Mary's name may be made to the Discalced Carmelites, Shrine at Holy Hill, 1525 Carmel Rd., Hubertus, Wisconsin 53033.
