"Friend Of The Chamber" Merchant Card Program

The Garden City Chamber of Commerce's new program "Friend of the Chamber" is getting a great response from the community! This program is one of the great benefits available to Chamber Members at no additional cost as long as you are a member in good standing.

Recently a mailing was sent to all current members detailing the program along with an enrollment form. Many merchants have already signed up for the program. To date exciting and generous discounts are being offered by: The Garden City Hotel, diSalvo Interiors, Grimaldi's Coal-Brick Oven Pizzeria, Bonaventure Tuxedo, Taylor Warner Realty, Uncle Bacalas Restaurant, Gold's Gym, Seventh Street Café, and G.C. Alarm, just to name a few!

Through this program participating merchants will offer discounts on goods/services or promotional items to card bearing members. Already many of the residents, business people, and school children are making inquiries about this program and how they can purchase cards in order to receive the special discounts and promotions.

It is the Chamber's belief that this program will encourage shoppers to frequent the participating local merchants, thereby generating additional business for them that otherwise may have been lost to out of town businesses or non-chamber merchants.

The "Friend of the Chamber" program card will begin on January 1st of 2008. The cards will be available for purchase through local fundraising organizations. The cost to purchase the card will be $20.00 with the card looking similar to a plastic charge card. Cards will be in effect for two years and come with a pamphlet that explains the program, lists the participating merchants along with their discounts, and references the chamber's website www.gardencitychamber.org for program updates and more information on the program. Merchants will receive a door/window decal to display that identifies them as a participant in the program.

So don't miss out! To be a participating merchant in this program just fill out and return the merchant registration form to us. If your organization is interested in selling these cards, please print out and return the organization form. The official dead line for registration is Wednesday November 7th.
