Anniversary Party Next Week

Fr. Gabriel with Kathy Billanti and Rosemary Fitzgerald
The St. John's Kenyan Children's Foundation cordially invite everyone to celebrate Fr. Gabriel Muteru's 20th Anniversary of Priesthood next Friday, November 9th, from 8pm to 11pm, at the Millennium Room in Kellenberg Memorial High School.

He was ordained a Catholic Priest on September 26, 1987 at the Lady of Consolation Cathedral in Nyeri, Kenya, his hometown.

Fr. Gabriel presently serves as Associate Pastor of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Parish in Roosevelt. He is the former Associate Pastor of St. Joseph's Parish in Garden City and has also served in other communities throughout Long Island and Westchester. In addition, Fr. Gabriel is a professor of Theology at St. John's University in Queens, and the Honorary Chairman of the St. John's Kenyan Children's Foundation.

A great evening including cocktails and hors d'oeuvres is being planned for all friends to share with Fr. Gabriel. Suggested admission is $25 per person. There will be a Raffle, "Christmas in the City," that includes 4 tickets for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Lunch at the Sea Grill and 4 tickets for the Ice Skating Rink at Rockefeller Center. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. Proceeds from this event will help support the education of orphan Kenyan children sponsored by the foundation.

We encourage everyone to send their reservations soon. Walk-ins are welcome. Don't miss out on this celebration! This is great opportunity to get together to wish Fr. Gabriel many blessings, to show him our gratitude, and to celebrate all his achievements as a dedicated Priest, a loyal friend, a great professor, and a spiritual leader.
