Forced by a deluge to postpone their game from Friday to Monday, the Garden City J.V. football team got off the bus at MacArthur looking so lethargic that assistant coach Bob Nolan prescribed a few extra exercises as a wake-up call. He needn't have worried for when the game began it was the Gen-erals who needed the cold shower. MacArthur turned the ball over five times in the first half on two fumbles and three interceptions, handing the Trojans a 21-0 lead. They went on to win, 28-0, for their sixth win of 2007.
The unbeaten Trojans will put their 46 game unbeaten streak on the line this Saturday morning against undefeated Hewlett (6-0). It was the Bulldogs who handed the Garden City J.V. its last loss, 23-7, on November 10, 2001. Game time at Hewlett is 9:30 a.m.
