William E. Nelson

William E. "Bill" Nelson, age 85, a resident of Washington Twp. OH, formerly of Garden City, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007. He is survived by Ruth, his loving wife of 44 years; daughters, Lisa Ruth Nelson of Centerville, Laura Lynn Nelson and husband Tiberius Herman of Sharon, MA, Pamela Nelson of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Peter Coe Nelson-Herman, Miranda Ruth Nelson-Powell; and numerous other relatives and friends.

"Captain Bill", as he was affectionately known, served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, was a member of the American Legion and Browns Backers of Greater Dayton, and was an avid coin collector.

Funeral services were held on October 13th at Newcomer Funeral Home . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
