Fr. Gabriel Muteru

Fr. Gabriel Muteru, Associate Pastor of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Parish in Roosevelt, former Associate Pastor of St. Joseph's Parish in Garden City, and Honorary Chairman of the St. John's Kenyan Children's Foundation, is celebrating his 20th Anniversary as a Catholic Priest. He was ordained on September 26, 1987 at the Lady of Consolation Cathedral in Nyeri, Kenya, his hometown. Throughout his career as a priest, Fr. Gabriel has touched the lives of many people from numerous communities in Long Island and West-chester, where he served as a dedicated Priest, and a role model of true Christianity. Fr. Gabriel is also a professor of Theology at St. John's Univer-sity in Queens.

To celebrate this special occasion, the members of the St. John's Kenyan Children's Foundation are hosting a Cock-tail Reception that will be held on Friday, November 9th from 8pm to 11pm at the Millennium Room in Kellenberg Memorial High School, in Uniondale. A great evening including cocktails and hors d'oeuvres is planned for everyone to share with Fr. Gabriel. The winner of the Raffle, "Christmas in the City," will receive 4 tickets for the Radio City Christmas Show, Lunch at the Sea Grill and 4 tickets for the Ice Skating Rink at Rockefeller Center. Proceeds from this event will support the Foundation, which was created to provide education and to promote the welfare of orphan children in Kenya.

We wish all of God's blessings to Fr. Gabriel in his future, as we celebrate all his achievements in the past. We are currently accepting reservations for this happy celebration.
