Garden City Senior News The Inc. Village of Garden City, in cooperation with Winthrop University Hospital, the Nassau County Dept. of Senior Citizen Affairs, Nassau County Medical Center, and Molloy College, will conduct a flu immunization program for senior residents of the Village of Garden City on Tuesday, November 20 th. This is a free, no out of pocket expense, program This program will be held in the Senior Recreation Center on Golf Club Lane (behind Lord and Taylor's parking lot) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be no cost to participate, however, we ask that you bring in any insurance or medicare information and your social security number with you as you need to provide that information on the forms. Preregistration is necessary for participation. Preregistration will begin by phone on Tuesday, October 30 th at 9 a.m. Residents of the Village of Garden City, aged 60 or older, are invited to participate. Anyone who is interested in getting a flu shot must call the Recreation Office at 465-4075 to make an appointment.
Weekly Schedule for the new senior center St. Paul's Senior Center is located in the cottages on the St. Paul's property and is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for any resident of Garden City aged 60 or older and their guest. Our schedule of events will be as follows: Monday 10/29 - Exercise with Felicia at 10 a.m. Bingo at 11 a.m. Bring a brown bag lunch and relax in our reading room. Tuesday 10/30 - Games with Andrew at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday 10/31 - Halloween Brown Bag Social at noon (treats included) and discussion about future events. Thursday, 11/1- Blast Bingo with Andrew at 10:30 a.m. Crafts with Adele at 1 p.m. Friday, 11/2 - Exercise with Felicia at 10 a.m. Monday 11/5 - Exercise with Felicia at 10 a.m. Bingo at 11 a.m. Bring a brown bag lunch and relax in our reading room. Tuesday 11/6 - Election Day - Closed Wednesday 11/7 - Brown Bag Social at noon chat with friends Speaker - Senator Kemp Hannon at 1 p.m. Thursday, 11/8 - Blast Bingo with Andrew at 10:30 a.m. Crafts with Adele at 1 p.m. Friday, 11/9 - Exercise with Felicia at 10 a.m. The St. Paul's Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for any senior who is a resident of Garden City and their guest.
