Cherry Valley Mystery Tournament

Geri Kelly, Gerda Schoffelen, Mari Shea, and Marie Gillespie
The 9-hole golfers once again enjoyed their annual Mystery Tournament on Wednesday, September 26. The post event is always fun, with each hole presenting a different challenge: "Irons only" for one hole: "closest to the pin" for another, and so on. Witchy candles marked each place at the tables for luncheon, whose eclectic offerings ranged from crepes to panini to down-home desserts. The event was orchestrated by Mary Nugent, with assists from Miriam Benack, Marge Digan, Geri Kelly and Willis Priolo.

Earning an appropriately-seasonal prize for Closest to the Pin was Penny Croce; for Longest Drive, Julie Boliver; Closest to the Line, Madeline Tierney; Fewest Irons Strokes: Maureen Corrigan, Willis Priolo, Maureen Liantonio, and Mim Robinson; Grandmother Hole, Ann Rieger; Non-Grandmother, Miriam Benack; With a Little Help From The Pros: Marian Bursch, Annemarie Gordon, Marge Digan and Ellie Porter. The prizes for Low Net went to Kathleen Mullins, Kris Harder, Pat Groarke and Marion Iamascia; for Low Gross: Mari Shea, Geri Kelly, Gerda Schofflen and Marie Gillespie.
