Historical Society Art Exhibit In November The Garden City Historical Society is proud to announce the dates of its second annual art show, Garden City in Art: A Mixed Media Exhibit. Featuring eleven local artists, the exhibit takes place at The Garden City Historical Society Museum, 109 Eleventh Street, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 2, 3 and 4 and November 9, 10 and 11. The museum's exhibit hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Artwork includes oils, watercolors, pastels, sculpture, print-making and photography. Please join The Garden City Historical Society in celebrating the creative works of this year's featured artists: Suzie Alvey, Lorraine R. Baralo, Mary Jane (Michaela) Caldwell, Adriana Seviroli-Caliari, Susana Cerruti, William W. Combes, Noel Darvie, Dr. Peter Langan, George Mamos, Nancy Peretz and Arleen Rueth Urban. The Society's gift shop will be open during the exhibit hours, too. This is a great time to do some early Christmas shopping, or buy a unique gift for a family member or friend. Visitors to the art exhibit should also plan to stop at the Historical Society's new consignment shop, the A.T. Stewart Exchange, on the lower level. The Exchange is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. It has a lovely array of items from furniture and jewelry to cut class and linens.
