The fall season began with only 5 remaining players from last year's POWER Soccer team. With 9 new teammates the girls knew that they ALL had a lot of work ahead of them. Besides learning to play together on the soccer field, they had new friendships to form. Since early August they have been working with Coaches Gregory, Kenny and Ventre and training with Coach LeSeur and this past weekend inWindsor CT, both the friendships and the soccer bloomed! POWER went undefeated in the Windsor Soccer Club Columbus Day Tournament with 4 wins and 1 tie. Every member of the team contributed both on and off the field, resulting in aFirst Place-finish for U11 POWER.
We started off the season teaching the girls that a TEAM is a POWERful thing, and stressed that they always remember that you need your team in order to reach your GOALS! They have surely learned this lesson well. Congratulations girls and coaches. We are so proud of and so happy for each and every one of you! Keep up the hard work; it does pay off. Hopefully, you had as much fun playing as we did watching you.
