Planters Protect Library From Crash

On Wednesday, October 3, a driver accidentally lost control of a car in the parking lot of the Garden City Public Library. Within minutes of the accident, the Village of Garden City police, fire, and building departments responded to the scene. The brick planters that are placed along the parking lot perimeter prevented any serious injuries or damage at the time of the accident. Access to the children's room on the side of the building where the accident occurred was suspended for a brief time.
