The Friends of the Garden City Public Library sponsored a free lecture on "Depression Era Glass," which was presented by "Antique Week" columnist Rosemary Trietsch on September 20 at the Garden City Public Library. Over 45 attendees brought depression-era glass items for expert identification.
A second free lecture about artist Judy Chicago was given by art history Professor Thomas Germano of Farmingdale State College on September 27. The artist's "Dinner Party," now exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, was presented to a fascinated audience.
