Commerce Launches Merchant Card Program

The Garden City Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its new and exciting "Friend of the Chamber" Merchant Card program. This program is another one of the great benefits available to Chamber Members. Recently a mailing was sent to all current members detailing the program along with an enrollment form. This exclusive program will be available to you at no additional cost as a Garden City Chamber Member in good standing.

Through this program participating merchants will offer discounts on goods/services or promotional items to card bearing members. It is the Chamber's belief that many of the residents, business people, and school age children will want to purchase these cards in order to receive special discounts and promotions. This program will encourage shoppers to frequent the participating local Chamber Merchants, thereby generating additional business that otherwise may have been lost to out of town businesses or non-chamber merchants.

The "Friend of the Chamber" Merchant Card Program will begin in January of 2008 and cards will be available for purchase through local fundraising organizations. The cost to purchase the card will be $20.00 with the card looking similar to a plastic charge card. Cards will be in effect for two years and come with a pamphlet that explains the program, lists the participating merchants along with their discounts, and references the chamber's website www.gardencitychamber.org for more information on the program and program updates. Merchants will receive a door/window decal to display that identifies them as a participant in the program.

In order to participate in this program please watch your mail for the program letter and registration form. Simply fill out and return the form to us by November 7th.
