DAR Lecture On Disaster Preparedness

Members of the public are invited to attend what is sure to be a highly informative lecture on the subject of Disaster Recovery and Preparedness. The lecture, sponsored by the Colonel Aaron Ogden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will take place on Wednesday, October 10th at 11:00am, at the Cathedral House Auditorium. The Cathedral House Auditorium is located at 50 Cathedral Avenue in Garden City.

Speaker at the lecture will be Mr. Terry Winters. Mr. Winters is the Assistant Commissioner at the National Office of Emergency Disaster Preparedness and Recovery.

In the last few years, our country has experienced disasters which have been both natural and man-made in origin. Would you know what to do if disaster struck? How can you protect your loved ones? Learn what must be packed in a "go" bag. Mr. Winter will address these concerns.

A light luncheon will be served at the meeting, which will be chaired by Chapter Regent Janet Littlejohn. Please join us for this important event. The public is warmly welcome to attend.
