George M. Reinfeld, Jr.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Reinfeld was President or Executive Vice President of six other companies spanning the printing, publishing, advertising and management consulting fields. In the 1970's he founded Corporate Development Enterprises, a New York-based management consulting company and two subsidiaries, Professional Training Institute, and Tradeshow Sales Development. Mr. Reinfeld was a member of many printing organizations and affiliates, including the Young Printing Executives Club and the International Association of Graphic Arts Consultants and he served as President of each. He also served as a consultant for the National Association of Printers and Lithographers and for Printing Industries of America. He taught and conducted seminars for Rochester Institute of Technology, New York University and Nassau Community College. He wrote for a large number of printing trade publications including Printing News, where he was still writing a monthly column at the time of his death. Mr. Reinfeld also authored a number of books including How to Increase Your Printing Sales and How to Succeed in Sales Without Really Trying. Mr. Reinfeld served as an officer in the United States Air Force during World War II and he continued his service in the Air Force Reserves for 25 years. He enjoyed playing tennis and was once President of the Garden City Casino. Mr. Reinfeld was also an avid reader, a life-long gardener and an animal lover who worked for many years as a volunteer at Angels Gate Animal Hospice. Mr. Reinfeld is survived by his former wife Beatrice of Kings Park, his loving companion of 29 years Joan Gil of Elmont, his children Jane Goodman of Scottsdale, Arizona, Stuart Behan of Levittown, Carol Tiffany of Needham, Massachusetts, Barbara Chandler of East Setauket and Patricia Caltagirone of Garden City South. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Hale of Massapequa, his niece and nephews Anne Brock and William and Christopher Hale, his two grandchildren Sharon Ayers and Alan Goodman, and his two great granddaughters Katie and Taylor Ayers. Funeral services were held at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home in Garden City on August 31st. Contributions may be made to Angels Gate Animal Hospice, 18 Josephine Lane, Northport, NY 11762.
