Marjorie C. Lynch
Long time Garden City resident Marjorie C. Lynch died peacefully September 19, 2007 after a long and courageous fight against cancer.

Marjorie was born on December 10, 1921 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She attended Our Lady Of Angels High School where she was a top student and President of her class. She met her future husband, Luke Lynch, while in the fourth grade. They married on June 10, 1944 and had been married for 55 years at the time of his death in 1999.

Marjorie is survived by her four children Luke D. Lynch Jr. (Nancy) of Locust Valley, Dorsey (Joyce) of Phoenix, Az, Daniel (Cornelia of Locust Valley), Carol Manire (Michael) of Rye New York. Marjorie is also survived by her loving twelve grandchildren, Luke III ( Kelly), Bettina, Kemberly (Michael), Tyler, Darcy, Kevin and Katherine, Daniel, Jr., Amanda and Peter Lynch and Jack and Kate Manire, and five great grandchildren, Danny, Erin, Meaghan Lynch, Calvin and Elliot Zeigerhofer, who knew her as their beloved 'Margra'.

'Marge' was a member of the Cherry Valley Golf Cub where she was an avid golfer and bridge player. In recent years Marge spent winters in the Vineyards, in Naples, Florida.

A Memorial Mass was offered for the repose of her soul at St. Joseph's RC church, Garden City on Wednesday Sep-tember 26th attended by family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Marjorie Lynch's memory to honor the work of Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Cordaro to St. Edward's Parish Social Ministry, 205 Jackson Avenue,
