The Kilburn Road Block Party went off as scheduled on a lovely summer evening with games for children, good food, good conversations, music, games, and fun for all. It was well organized and both parents and grandparents enjoyed watching the kids at their games. Linda and John Sorenson were one of the couples in the forefront of planning the event and I must say they did a great job. All who attended enjoyed the evening. We all know the story of Nathan Hale, a teacher who worked as a spy during the American Revolution and, when caught by the British, was hung. Did you also know that as a teacher, he was in favor of equal schooling for both girls and boys? The British Officer, who sentenced Nathan Hale to be hung, died the same way before the war ended. That's the end of the story. See you next week!
