Going into their game against Carey on September 15th, Garden City's JV football team was holding a 40 game winning streak that goes back almost five seasons. Led by scoring from Chris Stapleford (running for two touchdowns), Bryan Carney (scored on a pass), Jared Mitchell (intercepted Carey and ran back almost 80 yards for a TD) and Kyle Minerva (scored on a long run), the Trojans extended the streak to 41 wins as they went on to defeat Carey by a score of 38-16.

This year's team is coached by Seth Messier who is also the offensive coordinator. Garden City alum Dan Doherty coaches the secondary as well as special teams and Bob Nolan is the defensive coordinator.

The Trojans will play their next game on Monday afternoon September 24th at home at 4:00 against Kennedy-Bellmore. You can see more photos from the Carey game at www.Newsphoto.com
