Thunder Maroons Opening Game

James Buckley outruns the Bellmore defense to register the Thunder 7s first T.D.
The Thunder Maroon 7s opened vs Bellmore. The Maroon 7s gave up an early score vs Bellmore then clamped down on defense behind solid tackling by Kieran Paskewitz, Patrick Leggett and Will Honan. James Buckleys' 40 yard burst tied the score at six in the first half behind a great block by Jack Dignam. With the game tied 6-6 the Thunder drove again, marshalled by QB Cole Dutton but time ran out on the Bellmore 15 yd line to end the first half. The 2nd half was a defensive battle with only one Bellmore breakaway the difference. Andrew DeSantis, Thomas Siler and Joey Perrini made life for the Bellmore running backs miserable all day. As the clock ran down the Thunder was seen driving again behind their huge offensive line of Mark Michon, Michael Liberopolous, Kyle Steinbach, Sean Leggett and Liam Widell. Great game by all the Thunder Maroon 7s! This team is one to watch in the coming
