GCHS Andy Foundation Club Makes Donation
This past June members of the GC High School Andy Foundation Club donated one thousand dollars to the Martin Burell School for Autisic Children in Commack. Members of the club took the school's wish list and went shopping for them at Home Depot, armed with those items bought and a generous gift certificate to Home Depot they traveled out to Commack to deliver the donations. The Martin Burrell School is run by the Nassau Suffolk Services For Autism. It is a wonderful school that has just recently relocated to the Commack location. The Andy Foundation had previously funded and with the help of 200 volunteers from both the school and foundation built a playground for the students at the school. In one day! The club raised money throughout the year with bake sales, apparel sales, candy grams and mother's day cards. Any high school student wishing to find out more about The Andy Club please contact us at www.theandyfund.com or see Mr. Fowler at the high school.
