Deputy Village Treasurer Honored

Frank Q. Kelly, Deputy Village Treasurer of the Village of Garden City, has been recognized as a Credentialed municipal finance officer (CMFO0 by the New York State Society of Municipal Finance Officers for achieving its high educational, experience and participatory requirements.

Mr. Kelly has been employed by the Village of Garden City as Deputy Village Treasurer for twelve years and has been a member of the NYS Society of Municipal Finance Officers for fourteen years.

This program was launched in 2006 and its purpose is to aid municipal finance officers in improving job performance and recognizes the professionalism of the municipalities' finance office. Stringent education and experience requirements must be met before this prestigious designation of Credentialed Municipal Finance Officer is awarded. Qualifications of applicants are reviewed and approved by the NYSSMFO CMFO Committee.
