RSVP - The Experience of a Lifetime! The Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs offers people 55 and older varied volunteer opportunities to fit their time and interest. Nearly 100 different types of placements are available. If you want to find out more, please call 227-8988.

If you love children, offer your time and become a Foster Grandparent. Volunteers age 60 and older will receive a non-reportable stipend, transportation reimbursement, paid holidays, sick days and vacation days. For more information, call the Department of Senior Citizen Affairs at 227-8988.

Over 55? Income eligible? Need Training to Find a Job? Call the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs at 227-8903 to learn if you're eligible to participate in the Senior Community Service Employment Program which is funded by the US Department of Labor.
