The Recreation Dept will sponsor a trip to Old Bethpage Restoration Village in Bethpage, NY on Wednesday, September 26. The Recreation bus will leave the Senior Center at St. Paul's at 9 a.m. and take all to the Village. The Long Island Fair will be on the grounds, adding festivities to the Village itself. Lunch will be on your own or bring your own. The cost of this trip is $7 and pre-registration is necessary. Please visit the Recreation Office in Village hall to register.

Make a fall arrangement with Royce from A.C. Moore on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Senior Center at St. Paul's. Royce will bring all the supplies for you to make something fun and festive. The cost of participating is $5 and pre registration is necessary. Visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall to register.

pastel class beginning

Our first session of Arlene Urban's Pastel Art class will begin on Friday, September 21. This program is open to adults who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City. The class will meet for 10 weeks from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Cluett Hall. The cost of this program is $105.

adult tennis lessons now forming

The Recreation Department offers adult tennis lessons in 10-week sessions. Our lessons are open to all adults who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City and are offered at various times during the day and on the weekends.

If you are interested in lessons for the upcoming fall season, which begin the week of October 1 st, please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall no later than September 21 st to fill out an interest form. Classes will be put together according to ability and day desired on a first come, first serve basis. You will be contacted by our tennis pro, Carrie Strum, to confirm you class.

The cost of this 10-week, one-hour program will be $199. Payment must accompany an interest form. Please make checks payable to "Inc. Village of Garden City."

Adult Ultimate Workout - This 1 1/2 hr. workout is for the experienced tennis player who wants to hone their skills. It is held on Saturdays from 10-11:30 a.m. This program will be offered in 10 week sessions with a start date of October 13th. The cost is $200.

yoga classes begin again

Our fall session of yoga has started. Connie McKnight, our certified yoga instructor, has designed classes with all ages in mind. Each 12-week course will cost $60 and each class is 55 minutes long. All classes are held in Cluett Hall at St. Paul's. Any resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City is invited to join these relaxing classes. The course schedule is as follows:

St. Paul's Senior Center is located in the cottages on the St. Paul's property and is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for any resident of Garden City aged 60 or older and their guest. Our schedule of events will be as follows:

Bingo at 11 a.m.

Bring a brown bag lunch and relax in our reading room.

Tuesday 9/25 - Games with Andrew at 10:30 a.m.

Lecture at 1 p.m. - Rochelle Battino from Winthrop's Wound Healing Center will give a seminar on this very important topic.

Wednesday 9/26 - Trip to Old Bethpage Restoration Village at 9 a.m. Cost is $7.

Thursday, 9/27 - Blast Bingo with Andrew at 10:30 a.m.

Crafts with Adele at 1 p.m.

Friday, 9/28 - Exercise with Felicia at 10 a.m.

Monday 10/1 - Exercise with Felicia at 10 a.m.

Bingo at 11 a.m.
