Via Media - At The Cathedral

Via Media, adult Christian formation classes began on Thursday evening, September 20th at 7:30 p.m. Those who are new to the Episcopal Church or those who wish to explore the Episcopal Church and its beliefs and doctrines and those who are returning to church and wish to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church are encouraged to attend. There is no problem if you missed the first session; you are still eligible to attend.

Via Media is a video enhanced curricula designed to proclaim the Good New of God in Jesus Christ and to present the Episcopal Church in a contemporary and inclusive context. Participants will encounter basic principles of Christianity through the Anglican Approach of scripture, tradition and reason. Eight sessions beginning with a light meal will be held in the Christian Formation Room at the Cathedral House at 50 Cathedral Avenue. The topics covered will be: God the Creator, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, The Bible, Sin, The Kingdom of God, and The Anglican Tradition of Christian Hope. The meaning and experience of the primary sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion will also be explored. The schedule of classes is: September 20, 27, October 3, 11, 18, 25, November 1 and 15.
