Police Report: Mischief and Mayhem

Some time between 6:30 AM and 6:55 PM, on September 12, a New Hyde Park Rd. residence was found ransacked, with a rear door found pried open. Unknown jewelry and cash missing... On September 14, 3 robbers approached a Wickham Rd. homeowner outside his home and then proceeded to tie up a woman inside the house. They wore masks and carried a gun, and took cash and jewelry from safes. An investigation by County detectives and the GC Police Department continues...On September 11, 7:40 PM, PO Jackson arrested a 22-year-old Wyandanch male for allegedly not having headlights on after dark, and aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree( for a prior suspension for a prior DWI)...Between September 8and 9, an Ipod was taken from a Jeep parked in the vicinity of Village Hall.. PO Graber stopped a 28-year-old Franklin Square man for alleged erratic driving at Sixth Street on September 15. The man was charged with alleged DWI (.12%), the failure to maintain a lane, and following too closely...On September 18, someone broke a 2007 Chevy's window and stole a Blackberry, at the parking lot at Sears...On September 12, 6 PM, police answered a call for domestic violence and arrested an allegedly intoxicated man who had visited his ex-wife, and threatened a family member at the residence there, who had been hurt because of protecting himself. The charges were alleged aggravated DWI(.23%), alleged DWI and harassment...A truck stop was conducted at Commercial Avenue on September 12 with 18 trucks inspected, 16 trucks taken out of service, 14 weight violations, and 102 tickets in all... On September 14, PO Florio went to the scene of a noisy party where alcohol was consumed and issued a ticket to the son of the homeowner. A 17-year-old from Massapequa Park and a 16-year-old from Long Beach were also given tickets...
