Second-graders in Stella Guiry's class at Stewart School got to know one another during the first week of school by preparing "me bags" filled with treasures that helped the students learn about each other. The bags contained favorite stuffed animals, vacation souvenirs, family photographs, and many other items. According to Mrs. Guiry, who shared her own "me bag," the activity proved to be an exciting one that enhanced oral skills and helped the students make new friends by finding similarities and differences in their classmates' interests and hobbies.
