The Office Cat

The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island has reached out to touch peoples' lives positively for more than twenty years. In celebration of the House's 20th Anniversary, the Board of Directors at the House is inviting friends, staff and volunteers to reminisce and participate in a gala evening of camaraderie at the Black Tie 20th Anniversary Gala. The event, which is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Citizens Bank, will be held on Friday, September 28, 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Garden City Hotel. Festivities for the evening include an elaborate cocktail hour, exquisite dinner, silent and live auctions and a video presentation featuring memorable moments in the House's history. Put on your dancing shoes and move to the beat of the amazing tunes of "Fiesta," a ten piece band who will provide musical entertainment. A grand prize raffle drawing featuring a Mercedes Benz CLS 550 will be held; second and third prize winners will also be announced. Car raffle tickets are still available for purchase at $100 each; a minimum of 2,500 will be sold. Unique silent and live auction items include a trip to Puerto Rico; a package at a well known Manhattan-based hotel which includes tickets to a Broadway show, brunch and dinner gift certificate; a night with the New Jersey Nets; and baseball memorabilia autographed by the 1986 World Series NY Mets players. For information and/or to purchase tickets to the event or for the car raffle, please contact Jeanne Ellis at 718-343-5683 or 516-775-5683, ext. 140 or at jellis@rmhlongisland.org.
