A.T. Stewart Exchange Now Open
 | | Over the summer, the staff of The Garden City Historical Society's A. T. Stewart Exchange worked diligently to get the new consignment shop ready to welcome its first customers. |
|
The A.T. Stewart Exchange, The Garden City Historical Society's new consignment shop, is now open. The Society welcomes visitors to come browse, come buy, and if you have the time, come volunteer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Society's mission to raise awareness of our Village heritage and to continue the preservation and restoration of the Society's Museum, an 1872 Stewartera structure, listed on the National and State Register of Historic Places.
The A.T. Stewart Exchange opens Thursday, September 13. The shop's hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please come in through the rear entrance of the Historical Society Museum, 109 Eleventh Street. Consignment items are accepted on Fridays at the shop or by appointment...please call Kris Harder (747-1774) or Jill Mayer (747-8759).
The shop's stock ranges from large items like chairs, tables and sofas to dishes and glassware, lamps and vases, paintings and area rugs, and much more. We've got it all, come and see!
