The Patriettes U-11 girls' soccer team had its debut outing for the fall '07 season this past weekend at the East Meadow Covanta Soccer Tournament. The Patriettes faced off against West Islip, Babylon, West Hempstead, North Shore, and East Meadow. The team appeared to be in mid-season form, demonstrating crisp passing. Their control of the mid-field allowed consistent offensive pressure, resulting in many scoring opportunities. The team also demonstrated sound positional defense with steady goal tending. The Patri-ettes' efforts were rewarded with a 4-1 tournament record, allowing them to finish first in their bracket. The Patriettes' success in this tournament has given them confidence and momentum as they move on to the fall season. Go Patriettes!
