Property Owners' Association Of Garden City Estates

The first meeting of the 2007/2008 Estates POA Season is on Wednesday, September 13th at 8:00PM in the Stratford School Auditorium. This is a good opportunity to meet other residents who want to become more informed about various issues in the village. Additionally, many attendees come to pro-vide information to all of us. It is also important to meet the officers and directors of the POA, as well as the Estates Trustees (Village Board and School Board).

Many issues will be addressed at this first meeting, so please be sure to attend. The LIRR Third Track Committee will be asking for your assistance in pulling together ideas for informing each resident about the impending Third Track project. Remember that this issue is about the unnecessary expansion for reverse commuters, extremely disruptive construction in and around our village, and the unwanted increase of heavy and dangerous freight trains. All of this will result in negatively impacting our community, our quality of life, and reducing home values through-out the village.

Everyone is invited to come to participate and possibly become more involved by serving on a committee or expressing interest in becoming a director. The Estates POA welcomes all Estates residents to attend even it is just to listen in. Mostly, it is a good way to be involved in the Village so that your views and the views of your fellow Estates residents can be shared.
